Every year, since 1976, the Sanibel Captiva Lions Club continues its tradition of great service as they prepare for the annual sale of Christmas trees on the islands. The premium Fraser Christmas Firs are freshly cut and shipped on refrigerated trucks from North Carolina just in time for Thanksgiving weekend. Islanders come out to the lot with your families and pick out that perfect tree for their homes.
The tree lot is always located in the Bailey’s Center, right between the Grog Shop and Island Cinema.
In addition to the tree sales, they Lions also hold their annual Holiday Food Drive for the homeless. They encourage everyone to come and support the drive with their donations by asking them to bring non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army.
The Lions make their annual delivery to the Soup Kitchen days shy of Christmas Eve, and just in time for Christmas dinner.
