Accommodations: The Fair dates of March 25 and 26 are the height of the season for the Island. This increases substantially the number of people that are available to come to the Fair and buy your crafts. But motels and rental units on the Island are in high demand and usually booked months in advance. If you plan to stay on Sanibel during the Fair, you are advised to make reservations as soon as possible. Off Island accommodations are less expensive as you get further away from the beaches but they also are difficult to find in season. Booking should be made well in advance.
